We are founded in Hamburg on March 7, 1924 and still being family-owned until today. Memorable milestones occured in our Artifex-Century: The beginning with cleaning blocks, pastes and powders for home and workshop built the strong foundation. From the 1950s, the economic miracle created multiple new business opportunities. Metal processing was no longer just about removing rust and stains. Machined operations requested more and more finepored, fast running polishing tools. In the jewelry industry, following the respective fashion trends, reflective as well as matt surfaces indicated the consumer demands and had to be created. And not at least, modern glass processing raised enormous, about creating certain shiny and functional surfaces. With engineered solutions we were able to gain competitive advantages and to make the quality of our own products a benchmark for others.
